Tried & True Blue

One of the many assets of working with an event planner is the invaluable recommendations and advice we can offer on local vendors. Who is the most reliable? Who offers the most competitive pricing? Who can you be confident has the ability to provide a great experience from initial consultations right thru to the completion of “the big day”? An experienced and knowledgeable event planner will have worked with numerous different vendors in your area and will be able to give you the inside scoop on who to trust with this very important event in your life. An average vendor recommendation usually comes at the price of $50 a pop. However, because we appreciate your following and support, here are a few names on the house:

  • Lighting -Elite Productions  (www.eliteproductions.ca)
  • Decor Rentals -Kimspirations (www.kimspirations.ca)
  • Bridal AccessoriesWhink! (www.whinkinc.com)
  • Florals -Sobey’s (Kelsey Drive)

Come one, come all!

Welcome to Something Borrowed, Something Blues’ brand spanking new website! We hope that you will find the answers to your wedding and event questions amongst our pages. This June will mark our second year of business back on the rock. Bookings are booming and I most definitely did not get here on my own. For those of you who have been on this amazing ride with me, I am eternally grateful. From great friends and family to satisfied clients, your word of mouth and glowing referrals have provided SB2 with some pretty amazing opportunities, and are in large part responsible for our little slice of success. So THANK YOU!!!

For those of you that are just stumbling upon us, welcome! Here at Something Borrowed, Something Blue we strive to provide a level of service that I believe every client deserves. If there is one thing you take away from this little read it is – don’t be afraid to ask! There is no question too small and we are more than happy to help point you in the right direction. Initial consultations and quote are 100% complimentary – no strings attached! I can’t count the number of people that I meet on a weekly basis that say “I can’t afford a decorator”, or “wedding planners are for people with money to burn”. Our services are custom designed to fit your budget and your style – emphasis on the word “your”. One of the main challenges in planning a wedding is deciding what is most important to you. Maybe you have a very tight budget, but are in love with our Chiavari event chairs. If you “have” to have something, there are always funds to be squeezed from another area of the budget that is of slightly less importance to you. To make a long story short – when in doubt, ask. I won’t bite – promise!

Take a moment to browse through our shiny new pages and be sure to visit us often for tips on wedding and event planning, decor, craft tutorials, and many more valuable tips to help guide you along the path to your next great event!
